    When will this be enough?

    Let's begin the conversation

Let me teach you how to fall in love with feeling good!
I've always believed that total wellness includes having a healthy mind, body and a life you love.
It requires a commitment to change. I help clients identify their imbalances to restore mental and physical health so they can live a fulfilled live.

It is a fact that your mind and body are inseparable entities. Because they go hand-in-hand your health is compromised when there is an imbalance. My clients are taught how improving their internal equilibrium with a healthy diet and lifestyle will help them feel their absolute best, mentally and physically.

When you feel good, you're better equipped to handle life's challenges, lead your family and embrace Mondays with a smile. And who doesn't want that!

5 Steps To Motivate You to Wellness

Your motivational style or DNA is no different from your fingerprints or personality. They are all different for each person. People that understand how they are motivated are prone to creating action plans that work. They understand what works for them and aren't moved by others.

Loneliness and "Stress Eating"

Winter brings more time to spend with your family and snuggling with your significant other.  But for some people winter can be extremely lonely.  According to research, loneliness and social isolation affects 1 in 4 people and has the potential to post severe health risk.  Reports also indicated that people with social connections had a 50% reduced risk of premature death.

5 Steps for Mental Wellness This Winter

As we move towards the holiday season, which I love, I have to mentally prepare for the cooler weather.  Thankfully the spring-like temperatures are lingering around longer.  I love the summer but I’m slowing learning to embrace the winter without a meltdown…my struggle is real.

Give It a Break!

“Just turn off your phone!” “Why can’t you just switch it off?" “Can’t we just talk to each other?” You’ve probably received many warnings to turn off your phone and other devices. You may have even rolled your eyes when you heard them. I mean, can you imagine living without technology? It opens up possibilities for communication previously past generations would have deemed impossible. Is it really that dangerous to stay connected to our devices?

Is it Depression or Is It...

When you think of depression most people have been led to believe that the primary cause is a chemical imbalance and low serotonin in the brain.  Although that could be true, that’s not the only reason. Depression can be a result of some form of trauma from a recent or past event.  One of the primary topics I teach my clients is on long term effects of trauma, where psychotherapy can be very helpful. When assessing for depression environmental and psychological factors should be considered. Depression is not the result of a mysterious chemical imbalance that kinda-sorta-maybe can be fixed. There is no one concrete reason and an extensive exam is required. The field of psychiatry is beginning to understand that, for some people, depression can be an actual symptom of a biological problem and not a psychiatric diagnosis.
